72’ Jim Smith
Hailing Port: Road Harbour

Refit: 2017 in Beaufort, NC

For this 72’ Jim Smith we wanted to create a completely new design and look for the interior, really brightening up each room down below. A1A’s original color scheme sported dark reds, browns, and golds, which we changed to different scopes of blues and light neutrals to brighten up the interior and compliment the beautiful wood details present inside. With concentrating on keeping the same comfortability with the furniture, we redesigned the structure of the settee to lift on gas shocks for easy access to storage space underneath. In the salon our team fabricated the settee, barrel chairs, salon curtains, and accent pillows. Throughout the interior we selected and installed new carpet (laid by Golden Carpets), and carpet runner. For the exterior we designed and fabricated the accent pillows and boarding mat. Moving down below we created new spreads, custom sheets and mattress pads, and accent pillows for each room, sleeper pillow covers for Crew Quarters and Captain’s Quarters Bunks, and shams in the VIP Stateroom and the Master. In the Master, we customized the headboard with an embossed Garrett Leather and covered the ottoman for the vanity. There is a beautiful fish painting in the Master that was well complimented by the newly installed soft goods. We selected and installed new wall coverings for each head, and designed and made custom towels with decorative tapes for a nice final touch. Our team loved working with this boat, it’s crew, and the owner creating a roomy and comfortable boat that really came to life with class!
